Neso is a newly-established, publicly-owned company acquired from National Grid. It’s tasked with planning and the operation of the entire UK energy system ie electricity and gas.
TES Mech was asked to design and install, modern heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems in an occupied building while considering how best to recycle as much of the existing system as possible.
Initially, it was assessed that the air handling unit (AHU) could be re-used. After deeper consideration, the client team judged it was more viable to install a new AHU due to reasons of being fit for purpose in the future – considering the implications of climate change – and availability of spare parts.
