Services provided: Design, fit-out/install of restaurant in this new flagship bioscience development.
Design and installation of heating, cooling, ventilation and plumbing for the new restaurant and servery as part of an extensive, state-of-the-art, research campus housing 2,000 scientists.
This was a complex job due to the many sensitivities surrounding the project. Little flexibility was afforded due to changes in timings of various trades and protocols, on a live construction site where life-changing medicines are developed.
Limited numbers of personnel were allowed on-site at any time. All trades had to be orchestrated at arm’s length ie offsite: ducters, plumbers, pipe-fitters, sprinklers, BMS and insulation together with the incumbent contractor’s project managers. Our ‘soft skills’ were in high demand.
