Residential/commercial – conversion of offices into luxury apartments
Abbey Foregate involved an internal and external strip-out of a three storey office block and retail building before converting it into 17 luxury apartments with a new facade, car parking and landscaping.
The challenges of this project:
- Time-critical programme as planning consent would be lost if it over-ran
- Completion on-time was critical to ensure the project remained economically viable, JLL needed a trusted partner and chose TES Mech
- Structural delays – demolition of ground floor delayed the programme start date
- Design challenges – entailed in transforming an office block into a residential property.
